Does your birth vision include birthing at home, in a love-filled and respectful environment, witnessed by those who believe in your capacity to have a physiological undisturbed birth?
When you work with me we will move slow, with intention, and with conscious care for what is showing up in your mind, heart, and soul so that you arrive into a journey that feels like your journey, marked by choices that align with your intuition, instinct, and ancestral knowing. If you are not local to Squamish or the surrounding area, I offer virtual prenatal & postpartum sessions and can be on call for your birth to offer phone support.
Prenatal visits
I am here for you as a mentor, mother, and friend. Prenatal visits are often scheduled monthly, with more frequent check-ins as birthing time approaches. We might meet in your home, at a cafe, or perhaps go for a walk. Outside of our visits, I am available via phone and e-mail to answer questions, be a listening ear, as well as offer wisdom and resources.
During these visits we explore the following;
Prenatal visit are typically 2 hours
Birth Attendance I will attend your birth from the moment you ask for my presence and will stay until you and baby are ready for some well deserved rest. I see my role at your birth as a source of grounding & emotional + physical comfort. I witness and hold space for your experience often from the periphery looking in with reverence. If you invite me closer, I come humbly. Practically, I help set up your birthing space, make food / beverage, offer comfort measures, loving words, and I can be a sounding board for decision making. If a partner is present, I am happy to offer them support and guidance in supporting you. If you have little ones, I am more than happy to help care for them so that you can truly centre in on your birth. My belief is that you are the authority over your birth, you make the decisions, you call in support when needed, and you claim your power to experience the physiological birth you desire.
Postpartum Visits Postpartum visits occur within the first 40 days after birth. The type of postpartum support depends on your desires. Common forms of support include; debriefing your birth experience, receiving questions & concerns, and holding space for how you are navigating your sense of Self now that you have crossed the birth threshold. If requested, I can help with a 30 day yoni steam protocol, which offers amazing support to assist the body in healing. I am happy to prepare light meals and gather groceries and other items that you may be in need of. Postpartum care is about supporting your healing from a holistic perspective and showing up in true authenticity as a mother, friend, and birth worker.
Postpartum visits are typically 2 hours.
I am not a medical professional, I do not have medical training, and I do not practice medical procedures nor give medical advice. I work in the capacity as a Doula by offering emotional support, physical comfort, and education.
